Merchant support
A little help for your next step.
Set up your products, understand a setting, or get help when something does not look right.
Start with a few favorites.
Review your products
Choose products with colors or styles shoppers could happily pick between. Check products together, review the results, then confirm which suitable products to enable.
Place the chooser
Add one Help Me Choose block to the product template, near the options and before the purchase buttons. Save the block, enable the app, and follow the setup and plan steps shown in your app.
Try the shopper journey
Select the required size, shortlist two favorite colors, and start choosing. Apply the result, then check that the selected color, size, and cart match.
Products using the same template can share its app block. Check each product template you use. A theme preview on your computer may need a separate preview link on your phone.
Common questions
Why is the chooser missing from a product?
Check that the app and product are enabled, the assigned template contains a saved Help Me Choose block, and your plan or trial is active. The product needs an eligible preference, such as color or style, with available choices. On a phone, use the same theme or a valid preview link.
Do I need to set up every product link?
No. Review products in bulk, select suitable items, and confirm the count to enable them. Existing product settings and weights are preserved. Your plan's enabled-product limit still applies; a check does not automatically enable every product.
Can the app change a shopper's required size?
Required choices stay with the shopper. Help Me Choose assists with eligible preferences; it does not decide whether a size, model, or compatibility choice is right.
Can I leave while products are being checked?
Follow the message on your page. Once it confirms the check is saved for background processing, you can leave and return to progress. A check that runs while the page is open still needs that page open.
How do Pro weights work?
You can set relative weights for eligible choices on individual products. Higher weights increase the chance of a result; they do not guarantee it. The final chances depend on the shopper's shortlist and which choices remain available.
Can I change or turn off surprise discounts?
Yes. Pro lets you use one surprise type at a time: a fixed discount amount or a percentage that you enter, including small percentages such as 1%. Save your changes, or turn surprises off to stop new offers. Codes already issued keep their existing terms and expiry. Physical gifts are not included in this release.
Where can I check my trial or cancel renewal?
Open the plan page inside Help Me Choose. Shopify shows the trial, price, and terms before you approve a subscription. The app displays the confirmed expiry date. To stop renewal, use the cancellation option and confirm it. A paid plan remains available until its confirmed period ends. Cancelling does not automatically refund unused days; contact support for a separate refund request. If the status cannot be verified, refresh it or contact us.
Does changing the admin language change the store?
No. The Help Me Choose admin language is separate from the storefront language. You can manage settings in one language while shoppers browse in another.
Will a result always be available to buy?
Availability can change while someone shops. The app checks available choices, and Shopify makes the final cart and checkout decisions. Shoppers can still choose a variant and use the store's purchase buttons themselves.
